Christmas tablescapes.

With Christmas just around the corner here are some tablescapes that I am loving.

Or may be I will just forget about settings and name tags and baubles and pinecones and let the table enjoy some jolly impulsiveness. A stack of plates, cutlery thrown around, lots of napkins, some greens and a bottle of wine. Loving this lack of structure and planning that to me is shouting welcome home and happiness.

Is your Christmas tree up?

Each year I like to hunt for offbeat and creative Christmas trees. And I am swooning over these ones at the moment.

How sweet is this? One can create this in minutes with just some felt/paper and a pair of zigzag scissors. Would be nice to have many of these on the dinner table. I am so doing this.

 Tiny pillows make for a cute Xmas tree. I wish I was a sewing goddess.

 How creative is this? Christmas ornaments in December and one can keep changing it suit different occasions. Lurve this one.

Pretty doable, right?  I would love to sit under this one with a cup of hot chocolate (Only 70% cocoa please)

And finally what a brilliant idea to display your cards and have a tree.

Merry Christmas Indeed!

We had a lovely Christmas. S & I had some of our close friends home and the famous "little sister". It was a twinkling evening filled with candles, flowers, food and laughter. Some Christmas cheer from my home for you.

I have a super busy day filled with things I love to do; cooking for loved ones, being surrounded by friends and doing up the home. Sara is quite enjoying sitting near the Christmas Tree and my heart can't be happier. Have a HAPPY weekend with your family & friends. Love.

Some Red Some Green

Though I had written in one of my earlier posts how I am not going to go the Red & Green way just because there is too much of it around me. So may be a purple Christmas this time. But guess what, we set up the tree this Monday and all I wanted on it was lots of red & lots of silver. So Red & Silver it is. Couldn't stay away from my current love RED, Ah! Remember I used Red this Diwali too :)

I came across these centerpieces; Some Red. Some Green. And these look so fresh and pretty to me even though they use the done to death red & green color theme. So if you would like to incorporate this Xmassy color theme here are some novel & understated centerpieces for you.

Create a flowervase out of flowers. Swoon!

Glue red flowers of your choice to a clear vase and fill up the vase with evergreens. 

Stack up some gorgeously wrapped boxes on a cake stand. 

Add a BIG Bow and you have a  Christmas tree on your table.

Wreath Love

You know my love for the understated. Around this time when the virtual world & some of the markets close to where I live are full of red, green & bling I came across these. And thought I was in design heaven.

Awww....delicate, white, twinkling with fairy lights. Can a wreath be more charming? I love how the doilies have been used here. Do you feel like giving this a try? 

Or may be you would like this outside your door. This gorgeous piece is created with an old book, some glue & some glitter. Get the instructions here
