Some more purple love

Well someone is still clearly loving all the purple inside her home ( Remember Sara's purple birthday). And that someone is me.

A couple of days back we had my aunt & uncle over and as usual most of our time was spent around the dinner table :) There is something about cooking for & eating with loved ones that makes me insanely happy.

My pretty white espresso cups played "flower vases" that day
and so did the lovely black kettle.

Ah! purple...

The lavender candles begged to be lighted. And I gave in.

Flicker! Flicker!

A white shell that my sister picked for me from Goa.

As usual I don't have pictures of the entire spread. They don't give me time to click...what to do. But here's what I have. Made my favorite khao suey. I love meals like khao suey where everyone sits together and makes their own bowl.

Meal in a bowl and  laughter.
We added spring onions, coriander, peanuts to our broth.

And some chicken, bacon & boiled eggs.

Homemade iced tea...always welcome!

I so love this bottle:)

Fish sauce, soya, lemons, caramelized onions, garlic
and burnt red chillies made the meal complete.

Chocolate fondue with strawberries for dessert.
It was fun with everyone trying to dig in their skewers and going slurp slurp.

Sara was not the one to be left behind.
She loved licking the chocolate off the strawberry and relished every bit of it.
I am SO glad she is a foodie just like her mum & dad.

A beautiful night with beautiful people

Where was I and how did I miss this post. Yes I was buried in the curtain raiser of my blog coming up on the 20th. What a cosy tablescape - The whites and the purples. Loved the way you separated different things with the Greens. Prachi I am visiting you in my next trip.

This is such a gorgeous post. I liked the fact that you've used crockery from home to display the flowers. And I LOVE your bottles and the idea of sharing and eating instead of the usual thing. I've never thought of translating the concept to entertaining at home. Now need to try my hand at it ;)
