Gorgeous weather and pretty patios.

There are days when you want to jump out of your bed for the weather is just gorgeous. And that is exactly what Dubai has been treating me to. Our first taste of "winters" here. Slight chill in the air and lovely breeze just right for one to wear a cotton shrug or a stole and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate or two.

This is when I miss my little balcony garden at Delhi. Lots of greens, hand-painted chairs, wheel thrown pots, candles and more. Which reminds me I must look up for some snaps and share them with you, soon. 

In our current apartment, there is a balcony as well. Much smaller than the one back at Delhi. The Dubai heat really didn't motivate me to get greens for it and put a chair or two. But the weather now is really tempting me to make a minuscule wild jungle of it. 

Till then, I am happy enjoying these pretty patios. Which one do you heart?

All the pictures that I liked have painted walls. A sign to take out those paint brushes and paint something around the house, perhaps.

Hello April.

Some day when I have a garden with a wooden staircase thrown in I will paint it blue and paint the bricks just like this.Yes, people these are bricks painted to look like books. Look closer. So awesome. Love the detailing. 

And till then I am happy standing in cute little balcony. 

Will this count as an April Fool's day prank:)

November Fetish!

Those of you have been following the Fetish series here at purplehomes are aware of how much fun I have putting them together (You have fun going through them, right? :)). Plus they are such a great inspiration whenever one needs creative ideas. Its been a while that I wrote a post on it. My current Fetish : the water can.

Rooms I heart

I am madly & deeply in love with this space right now! 

That lovely modern table with such clean lines, the comfy  couches and the those patterns on the cushions are beautiful!  Don't miss out that pink candelabra...awww! With all those turquoise pretty somethings thrown in it makes such a lovely spot for a girlie brunch!

This morning..I want to be outdoors

This morning the sun decided to be a little kind. There is cool breeze, the flowers are swaying and I too want to be out with them. So I am going to wait for the little one to return from playschool so that we can both go out and have some fun! I am sure her heart wants the same.

But her mum being her mum is actually dreaming of outdoors that look like this.

So I think (dream) the daughter mum duo can start with a lovely lunch here. Those so very picnic-ky red & white checks, fresh flowers & paper lanterns amongst all those greens is just what we need.

Then we will munch some of these juicy carrots.Read a book or two on that colorful chair and then may be just lie down on the grass for a short nap.

Finally we will walk down to this red letter box where some (yes, some!) gifts await us.

Rooms I heart

Alright, technically this is not a room. Its not even indoors. But I have fallen for it. 

Want to know what it is. This is an office! An OFFICE! .AN OFFICE!

Ya ya..I know you got the point. But I still can't believe it. I mean what kind of luck does one need to get a working space like this. Someone please tell. I am ready to do anything to get in there.

Presently I am working inside my daughter's play house because she wants "prachi mom" to work there while she plays with her dolls. Interesting huh!! The playhouse is pretty too..i tell you :)

Outdoors calling!

The weather has been just great here. And outdoors are calling my name all the time. Here are some pretty ones I am loving!

Sunny chairs & lemonade...all for some citrus fun!

Ah! For a backyard like this...I can do ANYTHING!

Outdoor Oasis

What wouldn't I do to be at this spot right NOW! The heat here is unbearable and whenever I find the time to dream I see myself here! I am loving this rustic woody feeling it has, the casual setting and ofcourse the tons of food on the table. And don't even get me started on the view! B-E-A-utiful!

Loving this corner!

I MUST have a corner like this in my verandah, one day....I love the exposed bricks, the casual setting, the chairs and the lovely wooden table. And the gorgeous lights. I am seeing myself sitting here with lots of  decor magazines and a giant cup of coffee. Oh! Add a brownie too.

Sunny outdoors

Its really cold these days and as much as I am loving it, I am also longing for some sun...the other day God decided to be kind and we got some sun. Not the types to be wasting such a wonderful opportunity, we took the lil one to the park with picnic basket in row. Several homemade chicken sandwiches, chocochip muffins and a flask full of hot coffee later, we found our way back home. Ever since the sun is missing ;( If you happen to meet him, please direct him to my home...please...

And these lovely sunny porches/ balconies/outdoor rooms are not helping me either! Alas, will enjoy these pics till then.
