Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens,Bright copper kettles and warm woollen mittens,
Brown paper packages tied up with strings,
These are a few of my favorite things.
This song from the Sound of Music is one of my all time favorites. And this post is about brown paper packages tied up with strings? Do you heart them too?
I love using the simple brown paper to wrap gifts and adorning them with tiny flowers, pretty ribbons, dainty buttons, handmade paper scraps or simply anything I find around the house. Sharing tons of ideas I loved for lots of inspiration.
Flags, punched circles, hearts with strings or good old labels? Which one do you like?
For some glam, add a single satin flower, a crochet piece, patterned paper with a fabric flower or a big brooch with some matching string.
Want to keep it really simple? Block prints, fruit prints, paper cutouts or simply some of the net that the veggies come in!
How about adding some pine cones, sprinkles or just the initials/names of the recipient?
Don't they look stunning all stacked up like this with a hint of gold?
Which ones are your favs? Do you also like the idea of using the boring brown paper and dressing it up like this?
p.s If you are looking for some more giftwrap ideas then you are in for some luck. Two years back I did a Guestpost for one of my favorite blogs, the keybunch. Time does fly, huh! You may want to check it out on their blog here or right here at purplehomes (At a later date I updated it for those of you who missed it there).
"Wrapping" up this post, now. Tadaah!
