July Fetish!!!!

July has come to an end and so does my July Fetish. See you in August with a new love.

The mustard yellow lamp & those gorgeous plates on the wall along with the typewriter lends the space a certain old world charm.

Isn't this such a cute & do-able idea. Make each day special by posting a personalized message on your typewriter. And if its in perfect working condition just type it out!

Won't this embroidered piece look adorable on a wall or a sideboard?

Be happy & keep smiling.

I came across this very sweet & "never to be forgotten" logarithmic print. What it says is SO obvious but I guess at times we need to be reminded of such simple things in life

Go Green : Storage

Lately I have been going a little crazy de-cluttering. But the hoarder in me couldn't decide what to discard and what to keep. Well, one can always paint a biscuit tin to plant a sapling or use an antique frame to fix a mirror.

Which is when I came across these fabulous ideas for "green" storage. There were tons of them though. I have filtered my favs for you!

Milk Crates!
I am so lurving this milk crate center-table that I don't mind going out and buying several of them to make one. Will it still count as my Go Green initiative? :)

How lovely is this wall storage concept!
A couple of crates, some wooden boxes & tins and we have a kitchen wall to talk about!

Now who wouldn't want to store books in this "ladder-shelf".
I can totally see this happening in my kitchen for that extra zing. Cookbooks on their way!

I am so partial to pretty tins & glass bottles. At times I have been guilty of picking up stuff from the super-mart only because of the tins they came in. Empty coffee tins are something that I haven't been able to throw away. EVER! This is a great idea for storage. Though I would prefer these on the shelf than on the wall like this.

Ever since I saw this ceramic planter being used as a cutlery stand I have been itching to go to my local pottery store and pick these by the dozen. Mmmm...I think I will be buying them this weekend. Will keep you posted. And whats great is that these are planters so they come with a drainage hole which is so very required for dripping spoons! Great find..huh!

Awww...so cute! Masalas (spices) in test tubes. I am not sure if I can live with this arrangement in the long run but right now my heart is going all gooey thinking about these babies.

Which ones do you like? Any favs?  Do you have any chic & pretty storage ideas? Share them with me!

July Fetish!!!

Pink & Blue. People & Typewriters. Interesting way to capture the charm of these pretty things!

My love for pink-vintage-quaint from yesterday and times older made me post this snap.
Come on a girl does need some pink in her life!

The cutest shot ever!

An antique suitcase, my current fetish & that tiny vase. Swoon!

Alright....its not as light as a laptop. But who said you can't carry typewriters around!
Don't miss that dress to match!

A Cheerful home!

When I came across this lovely bungalow designed by Krista Ewart I couldn't resist posting these colorful & bold pictures here. I am sure some of you must have already seen this. So for those who have not come along & explore this cheerful space with me.

The couch here is to die-for! I could have never had the courage to use such a large print on a couch. But after seeing this living room I think I may just give it a try. I love how the pink and the orange is balancing it out instead of making it look all crowded. Did you see that art piece on the wall? So much color yet the room looks so collected.

Don't you just love the table cloth & the printed pattern on the dining chairs. Want to see the entire room?

Oh my god! I am smitten. That tortoise stool. All the green & the pink.Load of flowers.
Its just feels so fresh & energetic in here.

Now if this isn't the prettiest kitchen in the world I don't know what kitchen is! The pale pink refrigerator has left me all dreamy & speechless. I just realized I have this thing for pale pink fridges. Don't believe me? See HERE. The Keep Calm artwork echoing the same color, those gorgeous white stools. I'd like to bake all day & night here. Get me some vanilla please!

July Fetish!!

My affair with typewriters continues. What I am particularly liking about these two pictures that they are a lovely mix of typewriters & so many great DIY ideas. Come along...I will show you.

Okay first things first. How cute is this red Typewriter. I am usually a pastel girl. But this I like too much! And are your eyes also seeing what mine are seeing? An awesome piece of typographic art. And alphabet cards that can be easily printed at home or just use old ones of your children. That way every morning you can have a new word to look up to.

Why I chose this picture was because of the contrast between the solid, plain black typewriter & the soft patterned, pastel chest. Do you like it as well? Such a great idea to get a smaller one made for your table and use all those tiny bits of leftover paper. I am quite a sucker for things that help me organize. You know that by now I am sure! Isn't that butterfly pretty?

Get me some sleep please!

The first four days of the week have been terrible. All of us are down with viral, the maid decided to fall in love and run away and I have deadlines that need to be met. Between all this DH decided to travel.

So I am dividing my day between mopping, cleaning, washing and the likes, looking after a sick baby & working whenever health allows. In short I want to run away.

And this is where I'd like to be. In the middle of the forest at the top of the tree on this absolutely dreamy bed with such lovely bedding. Since I am doing a 5 a.m. to 2 a.m shift these days I'd like nothing more than some deep undisturbed sleep. I may switch on that gorgeous lamp for some reading though.

Looks like going to a forest is a little impossible at present. May be this hidden loft bed would make up for it. Ah! those white sheets are calling my name. And someone has been kind enough to leave some books & pink flowers to cheer me up! Now only If I could stop myself from staring at that chandelier. Dreams are just a chandelier away!

How is this week treating you? Send me some magic beans...will you?

July Fetish!

I told you I would be back with typewriters in July! Here I am! Catch them all this month.

What a pretty corner! It has such an old world charm to it. The hardcover books, a solitary key, a clock or is it a pocket watch?, some pictures all hanging from that twine. Those lovely blue bottles, all that light twinkling through & a green plant to complete it. So very vintage & so romantic! I like the clutter in this image.

Check out the contrast here. Such a clean palette & space to work in. Can't make up my mind...Do I heart the typewriter more or that gorgeous table fan...mmm...I think its Mr. Beard & his accomplice that seem to have stolen my heart away!

Rooms I heart!

I am SO dreaming about this room. It has such a colorful & fresh feel...exactly the kind we need it here at Delhi. The lovely rains, the pretty colors & the stripes & the prints, some fresh flowers & a cozy bedspread to curl in with a hot cup of coffee & some cake! And all that light coming in through those pristine sheers..ah! And it has my fav element too...paper lanterns!!!

Did I mention that the side table is to die for!

Color Crush : White

All things bright & white. Yes white is what I am adoring these days.

Ah! Someday I wish to organize my wardrobe like this. Color Coordinated! I like that pop of pink against the white sheers. Those pretty white babies...lovely..I want them on my desk.

Honey bee! Honey bee..don't forget to visit my garden. That vintage white camera..I just lost my heart to it. Buttons..tons of them...creamy!

What wouldn't I do to be where she is..ofcourse I want to wear a white dress too! I am into my "dresses n flipflop" phase right now:)

And now we are a happy family!

No,there isn't any issue with your eyes. Yes,that teacup is holding ice-cream instead of tea. Come on,what can you expect from someone who is getting roasted at 44 degrees everyday. And no sign of rain.

Yes,you guessed it right. We are completely dependent on ice-cream. But what good is that ice-cream which is not served pretty.

Aww...drool drool. Love the ceramic cup and that sweet touch of a strawberry & a cookie to go with.

What wouldn't I do to lay my hands on this potent chocolate & strawberry ice-cream dessert. The rafia makes its so special. And don't miss that divine peachy pistachio scoops & ahh..cubes. The lovely blue cups, the wooden spoons all tied up look so cute with the white & pale green of the icecream. Art!

Show me a child who doesn't love ice cream. My one year old can finish off this pink-licious ice-cream sandwich in minutes.  "Poon-poon" she tells me when we take out a tub of ice-cream (yes we don't talk below tubs in our home). Not to be left out she gets her own "poon" to dig in. I love topping it up with chocolate chips & silver balls and she licks it all clean!

Do I need to add that all this ice-cream makes us a very very happy family!
